Training for Village Potential Data Collection Officers (PODES) 2024

Serdang Bedagai - Do you know what PODES activities are? So, the PODES data collection activity is a complete village potential data collection carried out by BPS to collect data and information about the specific potential possessed by all regions up to the village/subdistrict level. This data collection will be carried out on 2-31 May 2024. However, before carrying out field data collection, officers must first undergo training for better data.

The 2024 Village Potential Data Collection Officer (PODES) training will be held for 3 days, starting from 24-25 and 29 April 2024. PODES 2024 training uses a hybrid system or a combination of online and offline training. Online training was carried out for 2 days (24-25 April) via zoom by all participants. Meanwhile, online training was held for 1 day (29 April) at the Pollos Serdang Bedagai Hotel. There were 3 regional instructors, 42 PCLs, and 14 PMLs who took part in this training activity which was divided into 3 classes. Officers are given material regarding basic concepts, how to collect data, fill out questionnaires, etc.

The hope is that with officer training, all officers understand the material and have the same understanding of the concept of definitions related to PODES, so that the data produced is of high quality and is useful for the government, community, academic community and other data users.
