Susenas Price Range Data Collection March 2024

Serdang Bedagai - BPS RI in February-March 2024 will carry out the routine National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS) agenda simultaneously throughout Indonesia, including Serdang Bedagai Regency. Susenas is a routine survey whose results are most awaited by the government because it produces various indicators of people's welfare, including poverty rates, Gini ratio and HDI. Therefore, this survey requires careful preparation so that its implementation runs well.

Starting preparations for field implementation, one of the efforts made by BPS is to collect price range data with the aim of obtaining minimum and maximum price ranges for several food commodities (such as rice, fish, vegetables and other food ingredients) and non-food (such as clothing, fuel). , estimated house rent, etc.) where the sample is located. Data collection for the March 2024 Susenas Price Range was carried out between February 12-16 2024.

The respondents targeted for this activity are traders in traditional markets, shops, basic food stalls, mobile traders, minimarkets/supermarkets. The markets that are the locations for this Price Range data collection activity are all markets in the Serdang Bedagai Regency area.

Apart from asking for prices, supervisors also carry out conversions of food ingredients to make it easier to enumerate food commodities in units that do not correspond to standard units. With accurate commodity price data, it is hoped that the March 2024 Susenas census will produce quality data.
