Sumatera Utara Province Farmer Exchange Rate in September 2024 is 138.59

·       Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

·       NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.

·       In September 2024, the NTP of Sumatera Utara Province (2018=100) was recorded at 138.59 or an increase of 1.40 percent compared to the NTP in August 2024, which was 136.68.

·       The increase in the NTP in September 2024 was due to an increase in the NTP of four sub-sectors, namely the NTP of the Food Crops sub-sector by 0.37 percent, the NTP of the People's Plantation Crops sub-sector by 2.68 percent, the NTP of the Livestock sub-sector by 0.27 percent, and the NTP of the Fisheries sub-sector by 0.41 percent. Meanwhile, the NTP of the Horticulture sub-sector decreased by 5.06 percent.
