Serdang Bedagai Human Development Index (HDI) in 2018 reached 69.69

Human development is defined as the process of expanding choices for the population (enlarging people choice). The achievement of human development is measured by observing three essential aspects, namely longevity and healthy life, knowledge, and decent living standards. HDI is an indicator used to see the development of human development in the long run. To see the progress of human development, there are two aspects that need to be considered, namely speed and achievement status.

In general, human development Serdang Bedagai continued to progress over the period 2010 to 2018. Serdang Bedagai's HDI increased from 64.67 in 2010 to 69.69 in 2018. During this period, Serdang Bedagai's HDI grew by an average of 0.94 percent per year. In the 2017-2018 period, Serdang Bedagai's HDI grew 0.77 percent. During the period 2010 to 2018, Serdang Bedagai's HDI showed progress even though Serdang Bedagai's human development was still "moderate".
