Abstract

Rice has a strategic role in strengthening food security, economic resilience, and national political stability. Therefore, the production of rice in Indonesia, especially in Serdang Bedagai should be able to meet the needs Serdang Bedagai society. Makmur (2007) says that the increase rice prices caused by the presence of outstanding issues regarding the application on rice import policy. Therefore, sufficient supply of rice can give contribution in maintaining rice prices to remain stable.
