Implementation of the 2018 Archipelago Tourist Survey in Serdang Bedagai Regency

The 2018 Archipelago Tourist Survey (Wisnus) is a routine BPS survey, which is a continuation of the 2017 Wisnus Survey. The purpose of this activity is to collect data on domestic tourists who travel in Indonesia and wisnus profiles, such as demographic characteristics, travel patterns, and average Expenditure / consumption of wisnus. Even though Wisnus did not bring in foreign exchange for the country, it could not be underestimated, especially its ability to move the country's economy through increasing household consumption. The trips carried out by the tourists were able to revive the transportation, hospitality, creative industries and so on.

Nusantara Tourists (Wisnus) 2018 are collaborative activities between BPS and the Ministry of Tourism. Previously, Wisnus' data collection was included in the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas), but since 2016 the Ministry of Tourism and BPS have collaborated to carry out exclusive data collection on Wisnus's profile and the number of Indonesians traveling. After the initial stage, namely the training of officers, then the stage of updating the household results of the listing. At this stage a household presence will be checked and inquired about trips in the first and second quarters. Household Listing Schedule quarter I and II starting July 2-14, 2018.

In Serdang Bedagai the number of Wisnus samples in the first and second quarters of each was 18 census blocks so that the total sample was 36 census blocks, with 21 as many officers (16 PCS and 5 PMS). Each PCS works on 3-4 census blocks and each PMS supervises 2-3 PCS. What the officer needs to pay attention to is the listing schedule It is expected that with a schedule of approximately 2 weeks the implementation of the listing can be completed on time. Because if only 1 census block has not been completed (for example in one district), then the sample cannot be nationally collected. So the listing must be completed, all new samples can be drawn.
